Looking for something to do between Christmas and New Year’s? We’ve got just the ticket!

Party like its 1943 at our family-friendly Historic New Year’s event on Saturday 12/27. Experience what is what like to celebrate New Years’ Eve during the classic streetcar era. Come at 11am for cookies, age-appropriate drinks (for both kids AND adults), special tours of our WWII-era cars, and plenty of family-friendly activities. At Noon, we’ll “Countdown to Midnight” and sing Auld Lang Syne, plus, interurbans will be running on schedule at 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm, and 3:30pm.

We will also be open and running our historic trains on Sunday 12/28, Monday 12/29 and Tuesday 12/30 from 10:30am – 5pm each day. Interurbans will be running on schedule at 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm, and 3:30pm. Traction Labs will be open, and we’ll have daily guided tours at 1:15pm.

The Museum Store Holiday Sale ends 12/30. Get 15% off on almost everything in the store, including books, DVD’s, clothing, Thomas the Tank Engine, and much more. Museum members get an extra 10% off, for a 25% total discount.

After the holidays, the Western Railway Museum will be open each and every Saturday and Sunday all year from 10:30am – 5pm.

Admission is just $10 for adults, $9 for seniors (65 and up), and $7 for children (ages 2 –14). Prices include entrance to the Museum, unlimited train rides, use of the Museum’s spacious and shaded picnic grounds, all planned activities, and free parking. Please note that there are no advanced reservations.
